Hello.  I assume you are reading this because you have been diagnosed as having Parkinson’s and would like to learn more about it.  Parkinson’s does not stop me enjoying life but it is complex and I am writing this guide with the hope of helping you to accelerate and crystallise your learning about some of the things that are useful to know about.  I have no medical training and I always defer to medical professionals so this document does not provide medical advice - you need to ask your medical team for that.  Instead, it is my attempt to empower you to help you gain more control over the disease by doing your own research.  I write based on my personal experience and what I have learned so far from other people with Parkinson’s and the many rich sources of information that surround us.
There are already some really great organisations and websites out there dealing with Parkinson’s so I decided to make my contribution simple.  This document is all that I make available through my website which is simply a shell so people can link to it to download the guide.  I am providing my email address in case anyone would like to give me feedback so I can either improve this document or possibly defer to another person or organisation to do a better job.  It is important to me that I can provide this guide without any bias.  Although many noble pioneers work in academia, hospitals, businesses, not-for-profit organisations and governments to provide solutions, I am simply a person with Parkinson’s and I have no financial interest in any of the above.   In case you wondered, the scary picture in the background is an MRI scan of my head from 2013.
Please subscribe below to download the guide (current Version 1.1 / 22 May 2017).  Thank you for your feedback on Version 1.0.
